If the Maxi Cosi Tobi is compatible with your car, then the fit is excellent.
It's also very very easy to fit this yourself.
The headrest is height adjustable, and the safety harness adjusts with the headrest. (no hassles changing the shoulder strap height and getting in a tangle).
The harness is sprung set, which keeps it out of the way, and again preventing you getting in a tangle whilst trying to put your little one in.
There is a green, good to go signal for correct tension of the safety harness, so you know that your straps are tight enough.
Well... the harness was for me a big let down. I had a major problem keeping the straps tight to my little ones chest (regardless of the green good to go signal)! The theory is great, but the practicality is something else. To the extent that she could in fact have her whole upper body free of the harness without intentionally trying to extricate herself from the car seat. There was always a gap above her shoulders, which allowed her to slip her little hand and then her arm through. She didn't even realise she was doing it. There is a general 2 finger rule between the safety harness and your child's chest when fitted correctly, but I have found a whole toddler arm fitting through this gap, which made it in my mind very very unsafe. I promptly returned mine. Regardless of how well this car seat fits your car, if your child is not able to be secured within the seat itself, it's pointless. I have no interest in this car seat staying in one place in an accident to find that my child is catapulted through the window due to a badly fitted safety harness.
I now have a Bebe Confort Iseos car seat, which is fantastic, and there are no more arms slipping through at all!
I had heard great things about the Maxi Cosi Tobi Booster Car Seat, which is at the higher end of the price range for car seats. I had high expectations, and I was initially delighted with it. For me, unfortunately, it hasn't lived up to those expectations. It's very stylish and has many positive design ideas. Maybe a few tweaks and it will be all it claims to be, but for now, for me it's a no no.
