The wooden stock is pretty and sleek with a satin finish. Incredible accuracy.
The trigger takes a little to get used to, but It will soften up after a while so don't worry.
The recoil is a bit much at first and kicks like a .222 for the first 50 shots or so but that also disappears.
The plastic iron sights are pieces of junk so get a scope.
The cocking effort for the first 50 shots or so is a lot but that disappears with time.
Overall, I've had 3 Turkish Winchester 800X's over the course of about a year. I had bought the first rifle on Pyramydair.com for $95. If you ever get the chance, make sure to check this place out because it is an incredible air rifle retail store and a great place to keep up with and purchase air rifles. The first gun's spring went bad after about two months use. Since it had Daisy's 1 year insurance on it, I was able to send it back to Daisy and get a replacement. This was also the case for the second rifle. However, the third rifle has not given me any trouble. After putting on a pair of Simmons mounts and a Bushnell 3-9x32mm .22 rimfire scope, it is getting incredible groups at six shots within 3/8 in. of each other from 25-30 yards. I haven't tried much target shooting beyond that because my yard doesn't require that. I can sit from my porch and shoot the black birds from my garden at about 35-40 yards without any problem. Don't ever shoot with the plastic irons, they are horrible. I took mine off and put them a bag.
I've shot a variety of pellets. They are as follows: Crosman Pointed Hunting pellets (7.9g), Crosman Hollow Point Premiers (7.9g), Beeman Kodiak match grade pellets (10.6g), Beeman Laser Sports (7.7g), and Daisy Wadcutters (the weight is not given.) The Daisy wadcutters definitely work better for me on top of their low pricing at a little over $2 for a tin of 500 at Wal-Mart. They group very well and have great knock-down power for small to medium sized pests. The Beeman Kodiaks work just as well with a little more knock-down power, but they are a good bit more expensive at about $10 for a tin of 500. The non-match grade Kodiaks are right behind them in price so the Kodiaks are expensive to shoot.
