Good Points

Prices are competitive but I'm not sure that there are any real bargains to be had here. If the price is really low then it probably is too good to be true.

Bad Points

Virtually no recourse to MH2000 if you have a problem with your vehicle. If it's mechanical and under warranty you'll keep getting told to take it up with a local dealership.

General Comments

It really is buyer beware. You don't get a test drive. Some answers to questions are vague - you may only get full information once your deposit has been handed over and you've arrived to complete the paperwork. In my case I asked if the vehicle had a full a service history. The answer was that it didn't need one as it hadn't reached the 12,000 mile threshold. But when it came to picking the vehicle up I was advised to get an immediate service to ensure that the manufacturer's warranty wasn't invalidated as the vehicle was more than 12 months old.

You need to be on your toes as the price you pay may creep up from the advertised sale price. Here are some tips:

1. Under the contract you sign, if you're part-exing your vehicle you'll need to hand over your tax disc. Make sure the trade in value of your vehicle takes account of any value left on your tax disc.

2. You'll have to pay a valet fee. There are two options, normal (c.£100) or premium (c.£250). Premium involves adding a shine product to the bodywork that requires a special shampoo and top up agent that you need to buy every year from Jewelultra. My suggestion would be to go normal and save your cash.

3. Make a thorough check of the interior of the vehicle. Missing items like parcel shelves and headrests should be factored into the sale price as these can prove costly to replace, particularly if you have to source from a dealer.

4. Ask how long the vehicle's been standing - too long and the aircon may develop a bad smell. A service of the aircon can cost £100. Like I say, it all adds to the cost!

5. If you're part-exing, the first price you are quoted will likely be a try on. Hold out for at least another £200-300 on your vehicle.
