The blackberry has a good screen size, lots of functionality i.e bluetooth, infrared port etc. Typical blackberry features. The main change is the size, it has increased the screen, but limited now the size of the qwerty board. Software is mature enough now to buy, I only had it crash once on me. I often unlocked it by accident due to where the buttons reside. Very comfortable to carry, typically a good reception holder and 3G now enabled so if you want to stream, its pretty good.
Battery life isnt that great, lasts typically 3-4 days whereas earlier versions lasted for me over 5 days on a full battery. The belt holder now has a magnetic holder which actually can open pretty easily as an accessory so be careful with that.
Pretty good equipment, making the Blackberry 8800 worth the extra money, full qwerty board .. reasonably good I would say. Better than handsets with inbuilt qwerty boards like P910i from SE.
