Good Points

As a backpacker, World Nomads seemed to cover my needs perfectly. The policy offered health insurance, personal possessions and other risks all rolled into one, added with a decent amount of adventure sport cover as standard, which I took full advantage of on my trip. The reps were friendly yet professional when it came to making my three claims.


Bad Points

World Nomads were not the cheapest around, Staysure, Ace and Duinsure are somewhat cheaper but I did find a promotional code STPJMS on the internet which got me a 5% discount. Still, I was happy to pay a bit more for a policy that fitted me rather than something that didn't cover my needs. Another minor problem is that they are based in Australia, which can make phone calls inconvenient. Luckily I did all my correspondence via email.


General Comments

I was very impressed all round with World Nomads insurance and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others or use them again myself.
