Bad Points

I have been having problems paying my mortgage, and I have felt that the Halifax have been absolutely disinterested in my problems. I have written on numerous occasions regarding my situation, but I continuously receive letters saying it is taking longer to look into than they thought. However, they are very quick to send out letters advising that they have added £35 administration fees to the account. I have now sent a letter to the Financial Ombudsman, as I believe the Halifax are not interested in helping me.

I am in the process of selling my property, and I will certainly not be re-mortgaging with the Halifax, and I will also be closing my current account. I have quite a lot of equity in my property, but they do not take this into consideration. I shall be seeking legal advice with a view to see what charges I can recover from the Building Society, as over the years I have paid quite a lot of bank charges.
