Good Points

Well made -you get what you pay for and more - i will put this gun up against any springer made , this is simply the best gun out there in functionality , value per dollar , and self supporting system -no tanks to fill , endless pumping , cheap toy feeling guns - this is the real mccoy - bad as as they come -i have a Beeman RX2 , RWS 54, Diana 34 , Marksman 45 , 853 Daisy , Moss Berg 22 cal semi auto , Ruger 1022 , Gamo Shadow 177, Winchester 270 Black Shadow, New England Arms 450 Marlin , Marlin 336 30/30 , M1 carbine , Norinco 22 15 shot semi auto , Ruger KP98 9mm , raven 25 auto , all great but the firearms only used at rifle range , other pellet guns not even in same league as far as power and fun , the one i pull out as my # 1 fun gun is the Gamo Elite - i was going t get the RWS 350 - not in same league - and i like RWS guns but sorry this is 2 cuts above - on a different playing field -

Bad Points

Scary loud in my backyard - attracts attention - people would think i pulled out my 22 rim fire -its that loud

General Comments

Says made in england on side, someone said its really a BSA - i think the feel and quality are superior to most guns in its price range - nothing new here though as my RX 2 says Theoben on the side of the barrel so I'm used to big companys importing their arms and putting there model name on it - i think Gamo bought BSA though. I really thought my rx 2 was the most powerful 177 i ever shot until i got my RWS 54 and started to rethink this - the Gamo Extreme puts them both to shame - i don't work for Gamo, i live in Texas, love to shoot and hunt with air rifles, hardly ever get to use my real firearms, too much work to to clean them and put all back after using them at the range - the Elite is the most fun you will have without pulling out your deer rifle and having the law called on you - still need to be careful though as this is no ordinary pellet gun - it is extreme - if you want to get into PCP then go get one - they have some that can over power this gun but they always need a crutch (air tanks , pumping , limited # of shots -etc - too much hassle in my opinion - ) - I'm not paying 700 for a gun and 230 for a tire pump - sorry - I want something that is self sufficient and all i need is a tin of pellets for a days hunting - get one -
