Bad Points
Made a claim for a damaged phone received a new one which broke within the first two weeks. Sent it off to be fixed, two weeks later I picked it up and it carried on as before turning itself off when you shut the flip. Instead of replacing the handset itself, they told me they could do nothing but send it off to be repaired for a second time for a two week old phone.
General Comments
Customer service is awful. Should replace the handset, no question about it!

I got a Motorola V3i through T-mobile a year ago. The first one I received broke in the first week, the second one I received was broken when I got it and the third one has been perfectly OK for 13 months now. All were replaced without question or hassle directly by T-mobile.
From the problems you have had, Carphone Warehouse sound like a rubbish company to deal with.
