General Comments

I wanted a semi auto pellet rifle to take care of some blackbird and starling problems. I was only getting one at a time before the flock would fly off because they could hear me reload. So I headed down to Gander Mountain to see what they had. They didn't have the Crosman Nightstalker, so I got the Crosman 1077 with an air source adapter for $99. The gun is very light but well built. The one piece stock is very strong. It balances very well too. With the airsource tank and adapter, it's a little front heavy but it's far from unbearable. The gun shoots well too. Especially with the air source cylinders. After cleaning the barrel, I went out to shoot. After I finished sighting in with some Crosman premier super tips, I went hunting. The trigger pull is not too bad. It's like a revolver. There was only 1 starling in the yard and he was 30 yards out so I put the front sight on him, a pop, then a thwack! followed and he dropped without a twitch. When I walked up I could see I hit him in the neck, severing the spine. it is the only live thing I have shot with the gun so far. To my surprise, the Crosman Premier Super Points shoot accurately in this gun. It's the only gun I have they shoot accurately in. My guess is that it's shooting around 600fps. I'm going to try the Gamo Raptor PBA pellets to see if they work better. It sounds just a tiny tad behind my old daisy powerline 880, now crapped out. I tried putting a scope on the gun but strangely enough, I liked the open sights better with this gun. The air source cylinders are great and the adapter allows you to shut off a valve, and take the adapter off the gun, thus saving CO2. They are good for about 200 shots. It's still a little cold out so that number will improve when it gets warmer. The powerlets are good for about 36 shots or 3 clips or so. Again when the weather gets warmer, that number will improve. Over all, it is a very good entry level co2 repeater and I would recommend it to a friend.

I get only 24 good shots. on the 24th shot, I can see and feel the power loss. I'm not complaining cause this gun shoots pretty hard for a c02. I guess if I was getting the advertised 60 shots, it would be a weak shooter as far as power goes?
