Hi. Had this phone now for 2 weeks and I must say 'Goodbye to Nokia'. This Samsung is a little gem. Small, light, nice ringtones, and lots of features. The reception is also very clear. Yes I agree, that the ring is a bit loud at times but no phone is perfect. It has 4 soft keys which you can set up to suit your needs, like I have calendar, text, alarm and calculater on mine making it easy to get to with the press of one button. The outside display anoyed me at first as it goes completely blank after about a minute but found by pressing the volume control at the side, the display comes on again for about the same time before going off. Nice touch I thought as who wants to have it on all the time? You're not looking at it all the time are you? The fact you get 2 batteries too, cd rom for connecting to PC and also the connecting cable (not usually included in most phone packages), make this a good value phone. I have had Nokias from day one but now.....no more. Very happy with it and will certainly concider another Samsung in future. So if you are looking for a new mobile or an upgrade, this Samsung SGH-S300 is worth a look.
