Well, it is cheap and easy to buy, but that's about it.
Very poor customer care - for example, my policy letter was not sent for weeks. I sent three e-mails to the customer care number that was given in the payment conformation e-mail. I never received a reply, and when I called up, they said it has been sent, but would send again. The same thing happened again when I sent the claim. They didn't reply after a number of days, and when I called up, they said they sent it and will send again. As I am rather sure that I my claim was rejected, I tried to appeal last Thursday, and I have still not received a confirmation for it - I don't believe that Royal Mail are somehow magically making my letters disappear. It seems very in efficient.
I live in a Christian Community, and my laptop was stolen from the library of the college, where any one, other than the members of the community has access. However, CompuCare (Insure and Go) Computer Insurance rejected my claim (well, I appealed, but no response yet), saying that it comes under the public area -- so if you are buying any of these policies, effectively, your computer is protected only if it gets stolen from your room when it is locked. I have now lost a £800 worth laptop and £50 on insurance.
