Good Points

Placing the order was easy
They are cheap, with good quality products


Bad Points

Customer Services don't provide any customer service, and you are on hold for a long time. (20 minutes +)
The website doesn't have stock levels.
If an item is not in stock, you will suffer


General Comments

I ordered from Furniture at Work on 13th January 2007. They took the full payment for the order immediately.

Half of the order arrived within 2 weeks; the other half is another story.

They do not contact you with any delays - after 4 weeks I contacted them. They told me that they were out of stock and would be delivering at the end of March. My order wasn't very urgent, so I left it until then.
Note - The Distance Selling Act, states delivery should be within 30 days (see Office of Fair Trading website).

The end of March came and went. I contacted them, and they told me that the order would be delivered the week ending 20th April.

Finally, I received a call from them! 17th April I was told it was arriving today (23rd April). It is an all-day delivery, so I've taken the day off work. At 12pm I had had no contact from the driver, so I called them again. They have no record of the phone call; in fact, they can not even tell me when the order will be delivered.

So, I decided to give up and cancel. I was also going to report them to the Office of Fair Trading and send them an invoice for one day's annual leave.
I called them back, and as soon as I said the word "cancel", I was transferred to a manager. I explained the situation, and he put me on hold to check the warehouse. The warehouse reported it back as "in stock" with a delivery date of today. He gave me the delivery company contact details and reference - I called them and, yes, it is being delivered today.

This company seems to have several systems and processes that are not connected to each other. They do not know what is in stock and what isn't. A doesn't know what B is doing and vice-versa.
