Staff in the dining room very helpful. Ali our waiter, always had our wine glass full. Animation team worked very hard and always had time to talk to you. The two girls who worked in the bar in the mornings were very helpful.
Administration staff on the desk at the Skanes Houda Golf and Beach Club were not very helpful. The maids never leave toilet rolls when they are finished, we had to ask at the desk and they put them in the wrong room, we were three days waiting on new rolls. Some bar staff would start serving you, then half way through the order, they would serve someone from another country, who was there on a different holiday basis. The disco area, which was open at night, stank of urine and sewage with water constantly running all over the floor, staff were forever mopping up. This is also the area where they have a mini disco for the kids, which was not very healthy, and one small telly in the lounge area.
We knew before we went that the hotel was remote, so there was not very much to do at night. There was a golf course across the road from the main gates.
