Good Points

It looks nice for about a month.

Bad Points

Poorly out of tune, cheaply constructed, waste of money, 4th valve breaks after two months of playing, weak case.

General Comments

About two years ago, I bought one of these horns because I didn't know much about the Tristar company and there wasn't much about the Tristar company so I got one and hoped for the best. Well I was HIGHLY disappointed with my purchase. First off, it looks good and you get high hopes for it but then it goes downhill after one note. Extremely Sharp on all pitches makes it IMPOSSIBLE to tune, even with a different mouthpiece. It will fall apart, especially in the 4th valve and the supports, after about two months of playing. The Case itself looks nice, but it's more of a carrier than an actual case that can protect the horn, so babysitting the horn needs constant attention. Overall, besides the horn having a promising appearance, it's just not worth it. I suggest if you get a horn that's cheap, get a horn that is mainstream, not from someone who makes horns in their backyards.
