Excellent outdoor landscapes - I had an exhibition of photos which were taken with this camera and also with a Canon digital SLR and you really couldn't tell the difference. It's very easy to carry round, which is the reason I bought it. The SLR is great but cumbersome, and made my shoulder ache; this goes in my handbag. "Museum mode" has been very useful for copying documents in archives.
Indoor shots are very inferior. The camera takes ages (12 seconds) between flash shots, by which time everyone has died of boredom. The results are not very sharp.
I am an incorrigible photographer. I bought this camera while on holiday in America last year, taking advantage of the value of the dollar. I love its outdoor performance and take it everywhere on the off chance of capturing a memorable shot. However, comparing its indoor performance with that of my sons' (quite old) Canon Ixus models, it is very inferior. Very sadly, it met with an accident yesterday when my husband accidentally ran the car over the handbag containing it and a battery in the padded carrying case smashed the LCD screen. I am now looking for a replacement and, because if its poor quality indoors, I won't be buying another one. I will be going for an Ixus...
