A waste of space. The manager left two young girls in the shop

General Comments

I took a pair of school shoes back to the WELLINGBOROUGH SHOP. The shoes had come apart, and I only had the shoes roughly two months, and I could not believe that this had happened.

The manager of the Shoe Zone shop was very unhelpful, and did not want to know, and would not replace the shoes. She left the two sales assistant to deal with the problem.

I said that if this had been John Lewis, there would be no problem, and the shoes would have been replaced, or a refund would have been given. None of these had been offered to me, and my poor son has no school shoes.

If anyone from Shoe Zone reads this review, I would be grateful if they would sort out the problem. If they want to contact me, they can leave a comment.

I fail to see why they would only get one out of ten for the layout of the shop, and two out of ten for value for money. You say you purchased the shoes for school and only had them for a couple of months. If we took a typical month of four weeks, and your son goes to school five days a week, then he would have worn the shoes for forty days. And if he only walked to school for half a mile and walked around the school and played in them for only one mile, then he would have had eighty miles of use in these shoes. As you state you paid £12.00 for these shoes, this equates to 30 pence a day and 15 pence a mile. To me that is good value. Also, if you know that John Lewis is a soft touch with their refund policy, why did you not shop there in the first place? I forgot to mention about the young girls in the shop; unless Shoe Zone are flouting employment regulations, I would imagine that these two girls are over the age of 16, and if that is the case, there is nothing wrong with leaving two girls in the shop.
