General Comments

This little device brought the terms 'light and small' back to TomTom's sat nav devices. It's portable, easy to use, and there's add-ons.

There are voices that you'll hear when there's a left turn ahead, what exit to take on the motorway, or when you're going the wrong way. Basically, it's just like someone with a high-tech map beside you telling you where to go. You can download new voices, like John Cleese.

There's also a feature called TomTom Plus which tells you about traffic up on your route, the weather on your journey, and also speed cameras on your trip. It can also tell you what speed limits are on main roads.

On the main view, you will see the map nearby you and where you are. You can have it in 3D or 2D. Also on the main view, you will see the next instruction and how far away you are from it. It also tells you how far your destination is, and roughly how long it'll take you to get there (not taking traffic into account). Another feature is that it tells you about how fast you're going and (if on the SD card,) the speed limit of the road your on.

There are only 2 ways to charge the TomTom One Europe up: Through the car or through a computer with a USB port. You have to buy a power adaptor for a plug socket separate.

You must have a Bluetooth enabled phone to let you TomTom update it's traffic data, the weather and the speed cameras.

Unfortunately, the GPS receiver on the TomTom One Europe is no better than it's predecessors. It still loses signal without cause. Fortunately, for you really smart people, you can now easily access the GPS status details screen. You could before, but it was a secret screen. Now it's in the preferences menu.

Overall, the TomTom One Europe is an easy to carry (easy to steal) touch sensitive GPS device. But they're all like that. What separates this model from the others is that this one is small, light, and is more accessible, and that's what counts.
