General Comments

Before finally deciding enough was enough, we had our house on the market with their Denton branch for a total of seven months. In this time, we had only five viewings. To put this into perspective, SIX other properties sold on our street during this same period (out of 25 or 30 in total - it's hardly a big street)! This demonstrated clearly to us that there was ample demand for properties on our street, and so it therefore stands to reason that the marketing of our house was lacking in some way.
There were numerous occasions when our instructions were not followed; in particular regarding the prolonged period during which their advertising claimed (incorrectly) that only part of our house was double-glazed. Added to this, my wife made arrangements shortly before we got rid of Reeds Rains to be available to allow access for new photographs to be taken of the property, only to discover that the old exterior shot had been used the following weeks local free paper. The reason we had requested new photographs was to show the improvements we had made to the property over the time that it had been on the market; improvements that were made in response to viewers' feedback, despite being told by Reeds Rains employees that such improvements were not necessary. This was, of course, in response to the feedback from viewers that was actually passed on to us: they were unable (i.e. couldn't be bothered?) to provide us with feedback from all of the viewers that came to see the property.
We should point out here that it was not only the Denton branch of Reeds Rains that provided us with such a poor service. We had dealings with their Hyde branch on a number of occasions; during which time we were refused viewings, given conflicting information, and had requests for information either not acted on or simply ignored.
