Good comfortable shoes for work
Not always very attractive to wear but the onus is on you to look as the consumer, and try properly before you buy.
I like their shoes. They are very sensible, but when it comes to work I want comfortable shoes that look reasonably attractive and won't kill my feet.
Clarks shoes are good value for money, and if you look hard enough, they do do some good style shoes. I also believe they still make shoes in the UK.
The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and this is a good place to get children's shoes measured. I take my sisters children there when buying shoes for them, as they measure children's feet properly; safe in the knowledge that the shoes won't cause bunions.
I have problems in getting the half size that I am (Clarks don't always do half sizes), and if I go a whole size up the shoe usually comes off. Sadly, Clarks don't really cater for the taller woman. They do up to size 8 women's, but I am a 6 and a half, and the staff tell me there are a lot of women like me seeking larger than average shoes, but they only do a small quota. Although apparently, Clarks is reviewing that, as women get taller and get larger feet - sometimes the shoes make me cringe as they are not always style conscious, and I don't want to look like grandma just yet.
