General Comments
I've had this machine just over a year now and I wrote a review after it had seen a month's service. I see no reason to change my view of this machine after a year's service but I will make, or reinforce the points I made in the first instance.
They are: (1) The machine is rather pricey.
(2) It is noisy, ( How anyone can call it quiet is beyond me.)
(3) It does topple over too easily when using the wand.
(4) There is no suction reduction control.
If anyone has any issues with my opinion of this machine, I suggest a test of a similarly priced Miele cleaner with an electrically driven head rather than the turbo type will sway you my way.
Cylinder cleaners may not suit everybody but I have to say that my 10 year old Miele is superior to
the Sebo in terms of cleaning power and quietness. Miele also provide suction adjustment for running over small rugs.
If you insist on having an upright cleaner, the Sebo is probably as good as you will find. Certainly, the build quality seems good and it will probably remain reliable. If, on the other hand, you're swayed by the latest Dyson ads and the discount prices now available, ( bringing them right down to extortionate!) then you are clearly mad and shouldn't be reading pages like this.
Just as an aside really, I dropped off some stuff at my local "recycling centre," (dump!) recently and asked the nearest scavenger,( who was not sweeping up the broken glass & nails,) which was the most common "hoover" thrown away and, guess what....yep, you guessed it; he said, "Dyson!"
Nuff said?

Miele once said that they couldnt make an upright any better than Sebo's X range. Your review is slighty biased because you compare an upright with a cylinder - so in this respect its unhelpful. Also, the Sebo motor is rated at 65dbl which is much lower than Dyson and practically anything else. Infact I think youll find that Miele and Sebo have similar specs when it comes to motor noise. I own a Miele, An X upright and my parents have a K1 Sebo cylinder = so I know where I am experience wise.
