Good Points

If you are a slicer this is the club for you. It is a very forgiving club. I manage to keep up with a lot of the bigger hitters in my group of friends because it stays straight. Even if you hit off line it stays straight. I am told this is due to the back-spin created by the 12deg loft which cuts out the side spin. I have both the smaller one and the latest 460cc one and I came down two strokes on my handicap because I kept the ball in play. I paid £29.99 for mine which is very good value.

Bad Points

I found the head material was perhaps a bit soft. After the winter on mat tees which had sand and grit on them the face became very pitted. The shaft is a bit whippy but then it is aimed at the lesser mortals like me!

General Comments

After buying the first M1 driver I bought all the M1 woods, including the Rescue club. I was hitting the ball very straight and kept it in play so much more. My scoring improved to the point where in one match I scored 43 points - then got cut two shots. Subsequently about six of my playing friends and acquaintances have been out and bought them. I have bought the latest 460 model and can drive about 220 to 230 yards which for a club with twelve degree loft is not bad. However one chap I played with was using an M1 and was driving about forty yards further. The M1 is the first club I have felt very comfortable with. If you are a low handicapper this club is not for you. For us middle to high handicappers this is a good club especially if you slice. Mind you like all clubs if you swing across the line you will slice even with this club. Lastly - the price. I paid £29.99 for mine with head cover, which is good value.
