Requires a friend to invite you to sign up
With potentially endless space (or near enough), this email address site is great, and it has more features than I'd ever need.
The custom filters are a nice feature, meaning that you can mark conversations and emails as spam so they're automatically moved into the spam folder and deleted, forever, if you ever receive them again.
Gmail also has an inbuilt instant messenger, which comes in useful if you're on a network on PC where chat rooms have been blocked.
Considering this is completely FREE for the moment, there's no excuse not to scrap your old account and move to Gmail.
After using Hotmail for several years - with their service constantly breaking down and losing my account details time after time, moving to Gmail was a dream.
