Good value for money, the prices are a lot lower than some Theme Parks.
Good quality rides with a few world firsts.
There is something to do for everyone, there are smaller rides for the younger children and larger rides for the teenagers and adults.
The theming on the rides is excellent.
Generally the staff are friendly and willing to help you.
Some of the older rides are not so well maintained.
Drayton Manor Theme Park is an excellent place to go if you are looking for a nice day out that is filled with fun and enjoyment. The combination of smaller rides and extreme rides make it suitable for everyone that goes there.
The extreme rides:
There are many rides that are suitable for older children and adults such as Shockwave, G Force, Maelstrom and Apocalypse. The two large rollercoasters, Shockwave and G Force both have something different to make them special. Shockwave is a stand up roller-coaster, so you go round the track standing! It's an excellent addition to the ride that makes it very special as it's the only one in Europe like it. G Force is also special because unlike most roller-coasters that invert, G Force hangs you from the hip when riding to give you a great feel of freedom that can be found no where else. Maelstrom is also different to most rides as it is a gyro swing that allows you to face outwards, so you get a great view of the park when riding and an even better sensation. Apocalypse, finally, is yet again different to most rides of it's type, as not only is it a tower drop ride, it is a stand up floor-less tower drop ride! This really makes you feel as though you are falling.
The smaller rides:
There are many rides meant for younger children such as Excalibur, the buffalo coaster, drunken barrels, Wild West shoot out, Sombrero, Super Dragon Roller-coaster, Crazy Bus and loads more. The rides are all great fun and the older kids enjoy most of them too.
These rides and the thrill rides make Drayton Manor a great family theme park as it really has something for everyone. The younger children can have fun in Robinson's Land, whilst the older ones go to the Action Park and Aerial Park sections.
