Good Points

In a very good location; not on the main high street, but near enough to everything.

Bad Points

The hotel has no sound proofing whatsoever, and you can hear literally everything that is happening - you hear the maids walking, the holidaymakers talking, the dustbin men every day at 6am, the lifts going in the night, and it sounds like someone is moving furniture permanently. You hear everyone coming and going at all hours, and you even hear everyone else's doorbell ringing; it's crazy!

Bed linen is only changed once a week, which wasn't too bad for us, as it was quite cold, but in the summer that would be tough I guess - sweaty sheets for a week, huh. The towels were only changed once. They say every 4 days, but as we were only there for 1 week, that amounted to once. The maids came in 5 days out of 7, and they didn't do much. They just made the beds and wiped around the bathroom, but I suppose if it's self catering, they expect you to do most of it yourself.

General Comments

Although we weren't overly impressed with the Club Praia Da Rocha Aparthotel, it actually wasn't that bad. We only paid £200 for a weeks holiday, including flight and accommodation, so we didn't expect 5 star quality. The rooms were basic, and you did have to pay to hire a TV remote, which then got you a kettle and toaster, which was a bit of a cheek. But if they'd put the extra £20 on the cost of the room for the week I wouldn't have thought any more of it, and would have probably been quite satisfied. It's just that they say it's self catering, and when you get there there's no kettle? There actually isn't an oven or grill either; just two rings. But as it's quite cheap to eat out, we did that.
