Quality look and feel
Nice bright scope image with zoom and AO
Came with scope mounted and sighted in from factory
Great accuracy out of the box
If you want to get picky, maybe the gold logo on the stock?
I've shot .22 cal rifles and .38/9mm handguns, but we have a coyote problem on the 4 acre rural property we live on that is adjacent to a 3600 acre wooded park, so I was looking for a .22 cal pellet gun with some good power, but one small enough and light enough for my wife to handle too.
I got the Beeman GH950 .22 from Pyramyd Air because they had a great price on the .22 cal combo with the 3-9x32 AO scope mounted and sighted in from Beeman. I was impressed with Pyramyd's product knowledge and service.
The gun is good quality, with a nice finish on the metal parts and stock, and with the nice scope on it, it looks like a "proper" rifle.
The initial results with the gun have been great! I did initial shooting with the Beeman Silver Bear pellets packed with the gun. The first 5 shot groups at 10 yards was 3/4" across and about 3/4" high and left. Not bad for a factory sighted scope! Groups at 20 and 30 yards were quarter size, but high and left. A few click on the scope and I'm getting golf ball size groups nicely centered. Should only get getter as the gun breaks in, and I will try some other pellets as well.
Based on other reviews and the recommendations from Pyramyd, I've got some Silver Sting, Silver Arrow and RWS Superdome pellets to try. I'll add comments to my review after I get more rounds through the gun and try other pellets.
The trigger is pretty smooth, but a little harder to pull than I'm used to from shooting regular rifles and handguns. It doesn't seem to affect my groups from a rest, but might when I have to aim for varmints from a standing position. I'll give the gun a couple hundred rounds to break in, then I'll probably reduce the pull from the factory 4lb range down a little.
Overall, I'm real pleased with this air gun, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid, accurate air rifle with decent power and punch.
