General Comments

I purchased the Crosman 1077 Repeater from Pyramyd about two weeks ago. I had read other reviews, and I was concerned that the construction was almost all plastic. While this is true, the feel of the gun and the build quality are excellent, despite the plastic use. I wanted a CO2 powered semi automatic action rifle, and I was surprised that there were so few choices in this category. I purchased extra magazines (package of 3) and a speed loader. This turned out to be an excellent investment that I would recommend for anyone interested in this rifle.

Placing the pellets individually in the magazines is slow, and the speed loader works very well to avoid this bottleneck. I have used only Crosman Premier wadcutters, and they work well in the speedloader and rifle. This is my first CO2 powered pellet gun, and I am very satisfied with the accuracy with the open sites and the CO2 powerlet power source. They are reasonably priced at my local Academy, and you get plenty of shots from each. I wanted to get the larger 88 gram upgrade kit, but now that I've used the powerlets, it doesn't seem all that necessary.

Shooting this gun is very pleasurable. It combines everything I like about shooting with none of the things I don't like. There is no recoil or loud report, and the action is fast with the 12-shot clips. The trigger pull is long in order to advance the magazine (much like a double action revolver), but smooth; and excessive force is not required. You can shoot without driving to the range or out to the country. A recent family get-together included several people who had no interest in shooting, but everyone had fun shooting this rifle.

If you are thinking about buying one, do it. Cheap and fun.
