General Comments

The Nokia N80 is a work of genius. It has a large screen, two cameras (one of which is 3mp), allows you to browse the web either over 3g or wifi, and is one of the most powerful phones available.

The N80 is a fully functioning multi-media system. I have recently downloaded some software to my N80 which allows me to watch full length movies on it in full quality. When shrunk to the phone's size I can fit over 8 feature films on my 2gb memory card. It also comes with an impressive mp3 player and the option to download alternatives. Not only has it got a still and video camera which produces fantastic quality output, it also has a photo editor and, a full video editor. You can cut, copy, slow down, and superimpose video's, add them to a timeline, add still or scrolling text, add photos, and put in your own soundtrack over the top. There is also a piece of software that comes on it called movie, which has preset displays to create fun films automatically out of your video's.

The photo quality is superb and can easily be used as a PC wallpaper without loosing quality. The still camera works OK in the dark but the video isn't superb. There is a flash but you cant rely on it as your soul light source. The battery life is one of the main disadvantages. It will last 2 days at best but with any sort of usage you are going to be charging it every night (however, Nokia have just announced a better battery for it).

The N80 has a great web browser but with one main flaw. Because of the phones lack of RAM, if you are opening an extremely large web page, it can crash. There are other browsers available though that use less ram and seem to cope a lot better, such as OPERA and OPERA MINI.

All in all, it is a fantastic phone and I would recommend it to anyone.
