General Comments

The Nokia 7250 definitely breaks new ground in some respects, yet falls short in others. Concentrating on the positive aspects, the size and weight of the phone is very impressive not withstanding the fact that a camera is included as well. Users who previously owned a Nokia 8310 will feel right at home, as the 7250 from a dimensional standpoint, compares well. The operating system is the usual Nokia fare (excellent IMO), with everything well organised. Sound quality and volume too is superb - you'll be able to hear the phone a distance away even on the lowest volume setting, and the radio is an additional bonus! Downsides to the Nokia 7250 are relatively minor, but may cause prospective users some frustration. Firstly the display is very susceptible to 'ghosting', and can be hard to see at the wrong angle. This problem is compounded by the fact that if you have a darkish wallpaper, the screen information is nigh-on impossible to see (black info on dark background). The obvious solution would be to reverse the colour scheme of the display info i.e make it white, so that contrast can be seen (the Nokia 7650 did this). Button response times especially when accessing text messages may be annoying to some. Finally, the lack of picture-caller ID and Bluetooth may ask one to wonder why these glaring omissions have been made, and I for one cannot give you an answer. The camera is a double-edged sword. If you are expecting this phone to be on-par with the GX-10s, GD88s & 7650/3650s of this world, and if that is your primary reason for looking at this phone, then I suggest you look elsewhere, as the camera is not the main selling point of the 7250 - it's just a bonus. Due to the display / contrast problems, the camera definitely comes up short to the aforementioned phones. In conclusion, the Nokia 7250 is a remarkable phone for people who yearn for minimal size/weight & maximum functionality in their mobile phones. For those users seeking breakthrough technology at the expense of dimensional change however, the 7250 would probably not be for you. Overall, an excellent effort by Nokia!
