Massively overcharged with poor quality food
This used to be a Japanese Restaurant called Tommo who offered quite good quality food and friendly services at reasonable prices. When we recently went there, Tommo had sadly gone together with the memorable chef.
There was this new Japanese Restaurant with no obvious name on, though their receipt called '@Japan'. We gave it a go anyway.
The staff were all Japanese but the foods turned out to be massively overcharged and the quality were appalling. One of the dishes we ordered were the most expensive on their menu at £16 called sashimi and sushi combo, there were only 3 kinds of 3 small slices of sashimi plus 3 pieces of sushi. The tuna were a bit off color not fresh enough. The other one chicken teriyaki was also not well cooked with not-so-nice chicken skin on.
When it came to payment, the services were almost a nightmare. First machine could not get the payment through after you putting in the PIN for your credit card, then tried another machine and you thought it was fine because it showed that the PIN accepted and payment processed, but their staff still insisted the payment was not through and demanded you putting in another transaction. When we refused, they demanded you put down your phone and credit card number before letting you go. It wasted us almost half an hour extra time. At the end they never called, but the payment appeared on our card statement anyway.
They have done such a great job to convince us never to return to this restaurant ever again.
