It is so much fun as a scooter, and still exciting as a semi-router. The high wheels mean that it is closer to a conventional bike as far as taking corners is concerned; you can actually lean into them with good exit acceleration. Due to the position of the engine, and I guess the sheer weight of the bike, it is very stable indeed; giving fantastic balance and good power breaking. I found it an ideal bike for commuting using the motorway, as well as riding through the city. The extra bonus is that in fact not many people catch you up at the traffic lights. The sitting position makes long journeys more bearable.
Bad Points
An ABS system would help
A little less plastic and more chrome would add to the already existing sexiness.
General Comments
I am an adept, and take great pleasure in riding those small country roads on summer evenings.
I highly recommend the Piaggio B500 scooter.
