Good Points

Lots of excellent features, ease of use, lightweight, nice design. I'm not greatly experienced but the picture image seems exceptional.


Bad Points

Utterly unreliable. With less than 10 tapes used it now freezes on the zoom and actually refuses to accept any cassettes at all.


General Comments

I feel totally cheated by the Canon MVX250i. Yes, a fault is always a risk; two major faults is appalling. Unfortunately, as it's outside the initial warranty period, Canon advise that I must pay for a repair - despite the fact that their product could not survive reaching double-figures in the number of tapes used! On principle, I'm not paying for a repair; I'm buying a new Sony.
