Good Points

Cheap fares but not worth the hassle.


Bad Points

Booked a flight in August of 2005 for a trip in March 2006 from Dallas Fort Worth to Frankfurt, Germany to Venice, Italy. I called 1800CheapSeats in January to confirm everything was still good to go. I was told that the flight times for my connecting flight in Germany had changed and that they put me on a different connecting flight. Great, right? Wrong! I called four days before my trip to confirm and as it turns out, I was never put on that connecting flight after all. Today is day number three of spending over 4 hours on the phone with CheapSeats customer service (each day) and I still do not have a connecting flight to get me to my destination. Every time a customer service rep with CheapSeats tells me everything is taken care of, I immediately call the airline to confirm that everything is OK, like I was told and nothing has been changed. I tried and tried to get the airline to change it for me and they can't do it. CheapSeats has to be the one to make the change. I have had six different people from CheapSeats tell me they will call me right back and I haven't received a single phone call back. Finally, I had to call the airline and break down into tears and get them to fix it for me 12 hours before my flight. Now, instead of a 50 minute layover in Germany, I have a 9 hour layover! What a way to start a vacation!


General Comments

I would definitely NOT recommend 1800CheapSeats.com. They are unorganized, deceitful and could not care less about displacing anyone.
