Good Points

Printing quality is absolutely excellent. Photocopying works fine.


Bad Points

The scanner!! Ever since I got the thing it has been tormenting me whenever I needed to scan anything. Today I'm busy working to prepare some presentation material for a meeting tomorrow, and the d**** thing lets me down. Or, that is, most of the time lets me down. Help Forums seem to share the experience.
It never could handle envelopes either. ALWAYS frizzled them to make it look very unprofessional. Used to think: oh, what the H*** - they'll think the postman did it.


General Comments

The machine is now 5 years old, so I guess I shouldn't expect it to continue forever. But the scanner function NEVER worked properly. Sometimes it would scan beautifully, then suddenly wouldn't do it at all, for no apparent reason. HATE that kind of erratic behaviour. Will not buy HP next time.
Fine machine, if you don't really need the scanning option! Nor the envelope printing feature.
