General Comments
I booked a holiday with Expedia for the 9th of September 2006. It was a holiday to Barcelona for a long weekend. Due to problems getting a Schengen Visa for the trip I had to postpone the holiday. I phoned Expedia & explicitly asked for the whole package holiday to be changed to 6th - 9th of April (Easter Weekend). I paid £158 to change the trip.

A month went by and the holiday on 'My trips' section on the website had still no changed and was still stating the 9th of September 2006. I then phoned Expedia and was told that because the holiday was changed it would not show up on the website. I then asked for an up-to-date Itinerary and was told it would be emailed to me. It was emailed but it still had the wrong dates.

I phoned in at the beginning of Feb to start finalising this painstaking holiday. I spoke to a guy a so-called, 'team leader'. He said that the flight dates had been changed but NOT the hotel and car hire. I couldn't understand why the consultant would change the flights and not the hotel and car hire knowing full well the trip was a package holiday. I was told someone would phone me back after he had phoned the hotel to rebook. I was then told the hotel was fully booked for the Easter weekend and they would have to find me another hotel. I was told it would be arranged and I would have my new revised itinerary the next day. I never received my new Itinerary or new holiday plans.

I have been phoning in everyday since then to try and sort this out but I either get put on hold until I have to hang-up or I am told it's with a 'team leader' and getting sorted out. Yesterday was the last time I phoned in and was told that they have to go through the phone records to found out whether or not I asked for the flights to be changed as well as the holiday (hotel and car). Expedia, I understand, are under the impression I never asked for the hotel or car hire to be changed. I don't see the logic. Why would I not need to change the hotel and car hire if I initially bought a package holiday.
