Good Points

very few...

Bad Points

keyboard stops working very often...
With-in the 7 months I've had this new laptop...the monitor (backlight??) has gone bad..only way to view it is with a high intensity spot light and even then nearly impossible. The work thing is yesterday was the fourth time it's happened. This means I have to contact HP and the have to make a report..assign a cso # and a case #....at this point you turn it over to FED-EX and wait.....about 12 days latter you get your same (temp. repair) laptop back...that has been completely restored to factory settings...so not only do you have the frustration of spending all this money...but your purchase is a lemon...and you can't trust it...I lost every bit of information I didn't back-up already. BUT...this is not the worst part....(read-on)...

General Comments

When I called HP...they said I must have my past Claim # (the CSO #)...they don't retain them and in order to take care of my problem (I) must furnish them. All of a sudden the HP rep. (Jason) said he just thought of an idea. He then put me on hold for 78 minutes ( he was king enough to check in with me every 15 minutes or so.......:| Anyway...he returned with the old case numbers..and gave me a current case number and said I'd be contacted within 5 to 7 days by a manager. Best buy said they might give me a replacement if I can prove I've had it repaired 4 times. So I called HP back the next morning...and guess what...my case # (from 78 minute Jason the HP rep)...was non-existing. Rep...after rep...hour after hour..of listening to Hp's automated phone system (thanks for your patience) I was ready to blow up the laptop. Each and every rep had no previous information on me...my laptop...and all the other times I had this problem (with-in a period of 7 months)...I decided to call one more time now 4pm I spoke with Kyle or Cal ... he put me on hold for 10 minutes and returned with 3 of my previous case numbers (too much time had passed to recover my first case #...all seven months ago) so I settled for three CSO #'s and confirmation that I held ownership of this zt 1170 Nightmare laptop....and that yes..I was in their old...out-dated computer system that burns any and all info after seven months. In closing...best buy told me I must have 4 case numbers for a replacement...so no luck with them...and guess what (hp Rep) Kyle's closing word are. Your Hp coverage has just expired on the 21st. I should of known....kevenjames
