It meets the need for a mains cold/tank fed hot water supply as I have and it supplies powerful flow and excellent temperature control. It looks good and is simple to use.
Bad Points
After a year or so it began to drip, a slow drip, damp tray, mould on the tile grouting. Now it sometimes fails to turn off reliably.
General Comments
It replaced an Aquadart hydroflo shower (no longer made) and is better in most ways. Dripping and unreliable turn off indicate a short life (installed end 2004). Replacement may be difficult without replumbing/retiling. Bother.

Croydex responded to my enquiry with advice to descale the shower unit -- take it off the wall, (quick release pipe fittings fulfilling their purpose) fill it with descaler, rinse it and re fix it. A half hour job which stopped the drips and so far it turns off with only a little hesitation. So all it needs is a house supply water softener... but thanks to Croydex for good advice.
