Bad Points

I purchased on-line SPYWARE Detector together with a reduced price offer on Registry Editor.

However, when trying to install I had really big problems with Spyware Detector - error messages, Frozen Screen, Hanging, No response and had to un-install three times. I am computer experienced and the problems were major. Fortunately, I was using Norton Go Back and Safe Try Install so was able to restart to before install occurred.

Because of the first problems I tried to install with a Clean Boot but similar problems happened.

I have on our Computers - Norton Internet Security 2007 - Norton Works Basic and have used Symantec for years. I know they are not perfect but we have got use to their software.

Please refund I must have spent at least 4 hours this evening installing and then fighting to correct faults.

I was confident of a refund because their site clearly states (I thought!):

Before going for this solution we would like to know what issues you are having on your PC and would like to resolve them so that you can enjoy a spyware free PC.

I did what they suggested and have received no reply saying a refund would be issued. I am still waiting.

I then received at least five "automatic response, you do not need to reply to this mail"

saying to try again.

I then received one saying:

"Also to resolve the issue that you are having our support team can connect to your PC remotely if you allow and see what is causing the problem.

1. If you wish to do that, please visit www.logmein.com"

Would you let a UNKNOWN COMPANY loose on your computer!!!!!!!


General Comments

Still waiting for a refund so I contacted my credit card company. In this case they were very helpful and said my account would be credited.

I asked their advice for the future and they said to ask Internet Companies what their RETURN POLICY STATES. This is excellent advice and suggest you, and I, remember .

    Dude, I'm in the same boat as you! How long did it take for your account to be credited after you contacted the credit card company? That was a good review, with which I wholeheartedly agree.
    People, listen to MaxDob, he knows what he's talking about.
