I like the interviewing process that makes eharmony distinct. The guided interview process does have some good and helpful questions involved

You have no control over your matches. Once you've completed your profile it's really out of your hands. If your profile's wrong about you, oh well. Tough luck, their questionnaire and computer knows better! You can't change it. And if you complain about it to customer service they'll just tell you that 'maybe you need to be a bit more introspective because the profile might be more accurate than you think'!

The little "preferences" they let you alter later don't have much impact on your "compatible" matches. Customer services will explain to you, that basically they determine all your compatible matches based on the profile. Then the preferences you select just narrow it down. So if your pool of compatible matches is off from the beginning than you're sunk.

My matches were terrible! One guys "about me" page flat out described the type of woman he was looking for and it was the exact opposite of me. That doesn't sound too compatible.

I tried to cancel my service and they said I missed the risk-free trial period by 1 day, so they can't issue me a refund. I tried to be patient with their service. I did what I could from within their service to improve it. I filled out their questionnaire to rate "how we are doing" and made it very clear I was totally dissatisfied. You can also rate your matches on how much you would consider them acceptable. I rated the majority of mine very poorly. My new matches have only gotten worse. Obviously those surveys aren't doing anything!

I just want out of the service and they won't let me. I'd even be content to pay for the 1st month if they'll refund the remainder of my subscription. Their 1-month rate is ridiculously expensive which is why I took a longer plan, but what a mistake!!

I do not recommend signing up for EHARMONY! ! You have no control over your matches once your profile is complete. You can't browse their database of individuals for yourself. All control is given to their computer. This service is a waste of your money. They claim to have 90 couples getting married per day. I want to know how many are GETTING DIVORCED! (My guess is that I don't even survey for that kind of information.)
