General Comments

This is by no means a common bike. I got it at Costco, a few years back, when it went on sale. $50 off, why not? I've never seen or heard of the Infinity brand anywhere else, except for one bike. and apparently, they are prone to frame splitting, due to poor welds.
I'm not a trial rider, or even a serious biker. I live very close to a few trails, though, and i do like to get out. So i bought this. it, like me, is not a serious bike. The front shocks are RST. Never heard of them, either, but when i checked their site i found out they didn't even carry them anymore. Leftovers. The kindshock in the rear I've never heard of, either, but the company is Japanese, and we all know how their build quality is. It is a very soft spring, and so you will find when you stand and pump, it really soaks up your power. You may only get 70% through to the ground when you get up to a really low gear. You can adjust it to be more stiff, but only to a point. As a trade off, its a very smooth ride and has no trouble hopping curbs. Being a bike from a chain store, the settings were not exact. It took some testing on the dozen or so they had to find the best adjusted one. After all these years, the only trouble it has given me is the front gear cover snapping and the gears coming out of adjustment- thats to be expected. I got it re-adjusted for free at a bike shop (western cycle, they even replaced cables free because i bought some mudguards!). The cover broke because when i tried adjusting it, i set the limiters too loosely and the front deraileur hopped over the plastic instead of running into the limiter. I was on a trail, and could not be fussed to taking it off and putting it back on. Snapping it was easier.
The brakes are very good. The rear brake easily locks the rear tire with minimal effort. The front brake gets you to a stand still in a very short time, but due to the excellent balance, you aren't flung over the handle bars.
The aluminum rims are light, but they do get dented. I have several, but the brakes still manage to do their job.

Not a serious bike, but you cant complain with the price and components given to you. A solid performer.
