Good choice of cars and mileage.
As soon as you agree to buy the pressure starts! I was conned big time, they act all friendly and talked me into a HP agreement persuading me off a lower rate loan. They then cooked the paper work so it looks like your getting a great low interest deal, but instead they actually whack it on the loan and hide the (not even mentioned HP charges £300) in the small print.
They have a clever little scam where they won't show you the final cost of the HP agreement and they will not show you the paper work until 15 minutes before your time slot to buy the car. This is very clever as you have less than 15 mins to read and sign a contract, they warn you if you miss your allocated time slot you have to wait another 2 hours MINIMUM. I was sitting around for 2.5 hours, supposedly waiting for loan papers to be produced, and then you are rushed to sign the papers.
The whole experience is like waiting for an airplane, and very much like a sausage factory as they send you from department to department. There is no pressure whilst viewing cars however, as soon as you show interest your hit with a tonne of hard selling..
Do you want warranty?
Do you want gap plan?
If you refuse either, they spend 30 mins arguing with you to take it..
By all means go take a look, however just be aware and prepare yourself for their sales tactics and hard sell.
On comparing prices on Parkers website, they are in line with a Franchised Dealer, despite being independent.
