Reliable, bolt-action rifle. Low noise, little to no recoil. GREAT varmint rifle! Super fast & accurate round!
Relatively expensive ammo for size. Accessories such as extra mags seem harder to find (due to new found popularity)
I just purchased this rifle 2 days ago and have shot about 300 rounds through it. This thing is a tack driver! I thought my .22 cal rifle was accurate, but with 80% more power and 1/2 the powder, this this is hot! This is hands down the most accurate and easiest to shoot rifle I have ever fired.
At 50 yards, my groupings were dead center on top of each other! at 100 yards, 2 of seven shots strayed 1/8 of an inch to the right, all others were punching the same hole!
Originally, I was going to buy a replacement .22 cal rifle because my old Marlin repeater is hurting. The gunsmith recommended this as opposed to the .22 cal because of its longer range and greater accuracy. Boy was he right.
I would, however, have liked to have fired the big brother, the .17 HMR (Hornady magnum rimfire). This is equivalent to the .22 magnum in total cartridge length.
One drawback, ammo is rather pricey for a rimfire cartridge-about $7.00 for 50 rounds.
All around a WONDERFUL rifle!!!! Purchase one as soon as you are able.
