General Comments
Overall I am very pleased with my purchase- the Samsung YP-K3 player is small, thin and light, it's easy to use, it has a cool user interface and visual equaliser, the screen is crystal clear and the battery life is about 18 hours (assuming you leave it to play through a list of tracks without inturupting it so often). There is also an FM radio built in, which picks up an astonishingly clear tuning. The software you use to sync music onto the player, Samsung Media Studio, is also quite impressive once you get it up and running.
Sound quality is excellent, but only on the "3d sound" EQ mode. All the other EQ's are quite disapointing and produce a rather flat and unexiting sound. However, the 3d sound EQ sounds fantastic on all genres, so this isn't a major problem.
Due to the shiny finish and touchpad on the player, finger prints and small scratches show up rather vividly on the player when it is exposed to light. I have to keep mine in an ipod nano sock when in my pocket otherwise it gets covered in marks and smudges.
Unfortunatly, there is no mains charger included, and you have to use the bundled USB cable. However, mains chargers are availible for as little as £3 on eBay, and seeing as the player has such a long battery life anyway, this isn't really a problem.
Although the player isn't without it's flaws, it has still proven to be the best MP3 player that I have ever owned. It is well worth the £120 I paid for it. Fantastic.
