None that I could see.


Bad Points

Appalling documentation, poor help screens. Lousy customer support - all they say is 'you need to go on a course'


General Comments

Appalling piece of software. It isn't meant for people without accountancy experience, it isn't easy to use and it isn't easy to set up. Spent a whole day trying to enter opening balances from my last audited accounts (actually only 8 balance sheet items) and gave up. I have gone back to QuickBooks - far easier and IMHO a much easier piece of software to work with.

If you don't want to spend £1000's on software, bookkeeper and training, go for something else. Excel would be better. Sage have got big by getting accountants to flog it to clients.

I am an IT consultant and previously have had experience as an accountant and running a successful retail business. Accounts should be a doddle. Sage makes it so difficult that almost anyone will need to hire a bookkeeper too.
