First of all, I have a TON of high end equipment. But I'm in the Army, and you cannot take the good stuff to Iraq. Once their i was given this program by a friend who knew i was desperate to make some music. It works great if you are imaginative. If your not you WILL feel as if its getting a little exhausting. The best thing to use this program is for arranging, and basic effects. It works well with many VST's as well as MIDI files. CHEAP + EFFECTIVE = good in my book
If your are not running a CORE DUO processor with at least 512mb sdram, it will no doubt lock up on you, if you try to arrange too many track with VST effects. Just keep you eye on the top right hand corner of the display, and ensure that your CPU usage is between 10 and 60%. Anything over that the program will strain to keep the arrangement going, which will cause the effects to BLEED over one another.
Hell it's good enough, if you want to spend hundreds of dollars purchasing high end programs by all means do it ONLY IF YOU ARE ALREADY EXPERIENCED. If your just beginning get this first! Making music can be a very expensive hobby. Remember this...its easy to throw a $50.00 program in the trash, but it will make you cry if you cant understand a $600.00 program. This is the safe bet.
