General Comments

I would recommend against buying the Skif-3000 and also against buying anything from Champion Shooters Supply (ShooterCatalog.com), here's why:
I bought the gun because of the 28 pellet magazine. It comes with a small tool to allow one to seat the pellets securely in the magazine. I tried several kinds of pellets, all high quality but of various weights, and shot about 4 magazines trying to set the sights. At least one pellet in every magazine misfired (remained in the magazine with a dented head). Once the pellet jammed halfway out so that I could not remove the magazine until I pushed a rod down the barrel and pushed the pellet back into the magazine.
I probably would have lived with this if the gun shot accurately (sometimes plastic parts work more smoothly after they are broken in), but in trying to set the sights, I could not get 4 shots in a row to even all hit the target, let alone form any kind of grouping. It was just all over the place and often I could not even tell where the pellet went it was so far off. I was shooting single action (i.e., cocking the gun first to improve accuracy) at a target about 60 feet away. I finally figured out that the gun was a total waste of pellets and that it must be defective. Note that I own several air pistols and rifles so I know what they are capable of and I've never had a gun that performed so poorly.
I called Champion and was told I first had to ship the gun to the distributing company. I sent it with a letter telling them to return it to me ONLY if a repair was made. If its performance was considered typical for that gun I asked them not to return it as I would seek a refund. Anyway, after a few weeks I got it in the mail with a note saying "test fired ok at 15 feet." Does anyone have their targets set up 15 feet away? If so, this gun is for you. Everyone else, don't bother.
Champion said I could return it to them but there would be a restocking fee. I protested via email and phone but they still charged me an additional 10%. So I paid for the initial postage, then postage again to send it to the EAA, then postage again to send it back to Champion, and still they had the nerve to charge me on top of this. So basically, it cost me about $40 just to determine that this gun is worthless. I hope this review prevents some of you from making the same mistake. And although Champion Shooters web site says "we want you to be satisfied with every purchase and will make every effort to resolve any problems," don't believe it.
