Has the best selection of games and exclusives, it also has the most advanced GPU out of any games console to date. It is also much easier to make games for than its major rival and is the best looking and also has the best gaming pad to date.
The 360 is rather noisy if you own the earlier models.
Hard drive space is far too small.
Overall the 360 delivers, it has the power and it all depends on the software to tap that power, the upcoming games being released will start to show what the system can really do. Such games as Mass Effect, Too Human, Project Gotham Racing 4, Forza 2, Bioshock and not to mention the mighty HALO 3.
The 360's GPU is ahead of technology since ATi have yet to even launch such a GPU for the PC market, NVIDIA already launched the 8 series that has the features of the 360 GPU - a note that the 360 GPU is DX10 compliant but lacks a couple of features to make it DX10 ready who knows if Microsoft can activate these features via an update.
Gaming wise there is plenty of choice with an amazing selection of top titles and exclusives like Gears Of War. Pricing wise you can't go wrong either since many games can be bought for very very low prices online, such places as www.play.com, www.amazon.co.uk.
For sheer looks the 360 definitely has a good thing going for it, nice curvy design with an amazing controller to boot that is wireless operating on a 2.4ghz frequency which also rumbles enabling the gamer to feel that more immersed in knowing what is going on in the game as they play.
Accessories are aplenty readily available and if steering wheel is your thing then you can't go wrong with the wireless full forcefeedback steering wheel (wireless mode gives rumble however for forcefeedback it must be plugged into the mains).
Online gaming there is only 1 choice its the Xbox 360, Microsoft are the pioneers in the software market and have done wonders in delivering the best possible experience with XBOX LIVE. With further updates scheduled on a twice a year basis the next update is right around the corner soon to add further more options and enhancements to Xbox 360, interface and the online experience.
On a price point what do you get? Well looking at the current offers such at GAME you can get the following:
Premium Xbox 360 - fully loaded with 20gb hard drive, wired headset, wireless controller, HD component leads a free 1 month Xbox 360 GOLD trial (silver being free but unable to play games online).
So then add any 2 top titles of your choice for only £10 each! Gears Of War + Lost Planet all for £300.
So 2 top titles a fully loaded Xbox 360 and did I mention it comes with a super cool chrome tray?
If gaming is your thing you will definitely then want to purchase an Xbox 360 as the games appearing this year are going to be immense both graphically and gameplay.
