I received this shotgun/rifle for Christmas and it is the neatest airgun I've owned. It is perfect for rats and mice when over penetration is an issue. I have even taken a rabbit with this rifle from a distance of thirteen yards with the shotshells. That is the furthest distance that I would go for this size game while using shotshells though. If you end up purchasing this rifle, you can reload the shotshells by using low-density foam for the base wad, and bit of a cotton ball for the front. i have also upgraded to #8 shot because it carries energy more efficiently, and even though I use less shot I still get good terminal performance.
