I bought it for £100 pounds of a friend and it hasn't let me down since I got it, it's cheap to insure and tax only costs me £5. Its not the most comfortable but it is fun and quite quick, and I have reached 45mph and it cruises at 40mph all day no problem.
Bad Points
Can't be derestricted, so you will have to stick to 40mph unless you want to buy tuning parts, but really I wouldn't bother. Of course you have to remember it's only 50cc and its dangerous on dual carriageways and on quick main roads.
General Comments
The Suzuki AP50 is a great scooter for what it is, a good reliable 50cc scooter. It's good for traffic busting and getting round in towns so it does it's job, but does not over perform for what it is, it's not a speed machine and it's not something for going big distances down fast roads. Dare I say it if you do pass a full motorcycle test taking one of these on the motorway would be suicidal, although I would think that if you were to tune the engine from after market tuning and what not, then this will be able to reach 70mph but would also go bang. Overall this does it's job and has done anything that I had expected it to do. The parts are good, as well as cheap and cheerful is the word and the local garage did a service for £70 not bad. Basically this bike does the job just great.
