General Comments

Lake Tahoe is the most fantastic place in the world, the Lake is at 6000 feet and the Heavenly ski resort takes you up to 10,000. Ski down one side and you are in California and the other into Nevada. From the top the views are stunning, you can see the road trailing off into the distance to Carson City and the casinos of Reno. Situated in South Lake Tahoe, the Stardust Lodge is a simple but clean and friendly place, rooms have everything you might need, donuts offered every morning for breakfast. Stardust is just a stones throw from Harrah's Lake Tahoe hotel and casino right on the Nevada Stateline means you can access the Las Vegas style action if you want it as well as skiing and snowboarding all on your doorstep. In the Winter months whilst covered in snow this really is an amazing place to be, beautiful from every angle. There are also loads of places to eat from Mexican restaurants to Steak grills and buffet meals on the twenty something floor of the casino. I cannot recommend this place enough, you will just not want to leave.
