This is definitely a must-have for your iPod, but by no means is it as brilliant as all the hype suggested, this is just my personal opinion though and many people seem to disagree, namely NME and the Brits.
My enjoyment of this album is limited slightly because I can't help but feel it is aimed at teenagers, and written by teenagers. The music doesn't seem to me to be particularly sophisticated and most of the songs are about buying girls tropical Reefs and betting people look good on the dance floor. You just feel like saying, 'Do you fancy growing up a bit and start doing some proper music?'
My skepticism for this band is therefore understandable because buying an album is all about buying into the image of the band, and I'm not really into drunken kids from Sheffield.
I don't feel there is much more for me to say, yes the tunes are pretty catchy but that is pretty much it. I would rather listen to Kaiser Chiefs or Coldplay or Feeder, etc.
